LEND ME, MOTHER....

LEND ME, MOTHER, YOUR EYES

that I may look through them;

for if I look through them,

I shall never sin again.

that I may pray through them;

for if I pray through them,

The Father is sure to hear me.

that I may receive Communion;

for your maternal tongue

is one of love and holiness.

that I may do my work;

for in this way, my labor will yield

a thousand times and more.

to cover my wickedness;

for, sheltered beneath your mantle,

that I may adore Him;

for if you give me Jesus,
